The danger age

Globally, drowning is the leading injury related cause of death among children aged 1 to 4. They are uniquely vulnerable because they explore in ways that parents, grandparents and families never expect they will. To raise awareness of this, a short (six minute) film called “The Danger Age” has been produced to highlight how it happens - and how it can be avoided. The film is based on the real experiences and words of bereaved families of young children who have drowned.

Funding is being raised by Simon Martyn, a bereaved parent who is the inspiration behind the film. His son Conwy aged 3 tragically died in a drowning accident. He says “Our hope is that, by everyone watching the film and spreading the word, we can somehow help to PREVENT future accidents.”
