Jenni was delighted to join with thousands of others at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Thursday 29th June as both spectators and players marked ‘The Red for Ruth’ day. This was the 5th consecutive year that The Ruth Strauss Foundation (RSF) has benefited from the support of the cricketing world.
Sir Andrew Strauss, former Captain of the England side, set up The Ruth Strauss Foundation in memory of his late wife, Ruth, who died in 2018 from non-smoking lung cancer. ‘She [Ruth] talked about helping people to do death well and that’s effectively what we are trying to do at the Ruth Strauss Foundation”, explained Sir Andrew. The Foundation aims to provide emotional support or families to prepare for the death of a parent and raise awareness of theneed for more research and collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lungcancers.
Jenni has been involved with the charity since the beginning and she is seen herewith the CEO of RSF, Ines Thiru. They both look great in red!
